Rev. Felicia Howell LaBoy is a deeply passionate minister of the gospel who is also a pastor, theologian, and scholar.
Whether it is in her role as the Senior Interim Pastor at Maple Park United Methodist Church or as a Doctoral Candidate, her work
is grounded in the bottom line question - what is God calling us to do, individually and collectively, as faithful leaders of the church?
Rev. LaBoy is a Commissioned Elder in the Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church. She has served as the
Senior Pastor of Mandell United Methodist Church and Student Pastor at West Ridge United Methodist Church. Most recently she has served as
a member of the Ministerial Team at Southlawn United Methodist Church and Supply Pastor for the Chicago Southern and Northwestern Districts.
In addition to her pastoral responsibilities, Rev. LaBoy is currently pursing a Ph.D. in theology, ethics and economics. Her emphasis is in
Christian Community and Economic Development as a means to restore economic vitality to inner city neighborhoods through entrepreneurship and
partnerships between business, government, nonprofits and the Church.
Her other academic credentials include an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Duke University, an M. Div with a concentration in Evangelism from
Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, an M.A. in Christian Ministries from Indiana Christian University, and a B.S. in Marketing from Lehigh
University. Rev. LaBoy is also registered with United Methodist Church Board of Higher Education and Ministry as a Woman of Color Scholar,
and was recently certified in Evangelism by General Board of Discipleship of the Northern IL Conference. In addition to her pastoral experience,
Rev. LaBoy had seven years of successful experience with a Fortune 100 company and 18 years in community and professional organizations with
leadership and staff expertise. She is an expert in strategic planning, marketing, human resource development and fund raising. She also has
an extensive background in developing and facilitating team building and leadership development courses. In fact, Rev. LaBoy has written
over 14 courses in the area of leadership development alone. Rev. LaBoy is also a frequent speaker on the subject of the importance of partnership
between the private and public sector, especially in the area of faith-based community and economic development.
Rev. LaBoy is married to Adrian LaBoy. They are the proud grandparents of 11 grandchildren and currently reside in Evanston, IL.
